📋 Tour Details
Join us for a walking tour with the Truckee River Flood Management Authority (TRFMA) to hear how the region has responded to historic floods like the 1997 New Year’s Flood, the 117-year flood of record. We’ll visit the Riverside Drive floodwall and berm project, a partnership between TRFMA, the City of Reno, and the Carson-Truckee Water Conservancy District that delivers 14,000 cfs of flood protection while preserving mature parkway trees and the community’s connection to the river. Come curious, and bring your questions!
