APWA Nevada Chapter Awards Program – Celebrating Excellence in Public Works
The APWA Nevada Chapter Awards Program recognizes the people, projects, and chapters that strengthen public works across Nevada. Each year, we celebrate professionals whose leadership, service, innovation, and commitment make a lasting difference in our communities. The Nevada Chapter offers individual awards of merit that parallel APWA’s National Awards Program, along with Project of the Year recognition presented at the Spring and Fall Conferences.

Crystal Briscoe “Spitfire” Award for Outstanding Young Professional Member of the Year
This award recognizes a Young Professional member under the age of 35 who demonstrates outstanding achievement, energy, leadership, and service to APWA through Nevada Chapter involvement and contributions to APWA’s mission.

Project of The Year (POTY)
The Nevada Chapter also recognizes exceptional public works projects through its Project of the Year awards, presented at the Spring and Fall Conferences. These awards highlight project teams whose work demonstrates excellence in planning, design, construction, management, innovation, and community impact.
The APWA National Awards Program recognizes excellence across several categories, including Professional Achievement, Member Service, Top Ten Public Works Leaders of the Year, Public Works Project of the Year (POTY), and the Presidential Award for Chapter Excellence (PACE).
