Key Highlights for Nevada:
- 20-Time PACE Award Winner – Our Chapter proudly accepted the Presidential Award for Chapter Excellence for the 20th time! We celebrated in style with photo ops throughout Chicago and with “20x” balloons and our Nevada letters on stage, capturing several picture-perfect milestone moments.
- National Recognition – Congratulations to Doa Ross (LVVWD/SNWA) for being honored as one of the nation’s Top 10 Public Works Leaders of the Year. An incredible achievement that shines a national spotlight on Nevada!
- National Equipment Rodeo – Jimmy Floyd made us proud by earning 3rd place out of 80 competitors, bringing home a championship belt trophy and putting Nevada on the national leaderboard.
- Young Professionals Spotlight – Special congratulations to Dylan Carey (YP), who won a free entry to next year’s PWX Conference in Houston, Texas! What an exciting way to support and elevate our next generation of leaders.
- Region 8 Dinner – Several of us joined colleagues from across Region 8 on Tuesday evening for a fantastic dinner filled with networking, idea-sharing, and new connections with other public works professionals from our regional group.
- Unforgettable Experiences – From the electric Opening Ceremony featuring the Jesse White Tumblers, Bertice Berry’s inspiring keynote and Keelan Leyser’s “Reimagine the Impossible” magic to the Get Acquainted Party at Navy Pier, and finally a memorable Chicago River dinner cruise hosted by Rinker, our team made the most of every opportunity to connect and celebrate.
